About the Author

Suzanne Smith

I was born in Lincoln Lincolnshire and lived with my family in the heart of Nottinghamshire on the family farm. Emma, my sister and I spent many weekends in the holidays using our imagination and creating adventures around the farm, entertaining ourselves and having fun, when not riding our ponies.
After leaving school I pursued my career in the catering industry learning to cook and becoming a catering manager, whilst at college I sat qualifications which allowed me to work in any catering sector. I enjoyed ten years working in various catering establishments before moving into the recruitment industry, I have been in the Recruitment Industry for seventeen years in Coventry, and have thoroughly enjoyed helping people find work.

Now I am also enjoying being a published children’s author for The Vegetable Village Adventures, which are about Vegetable Children having fun adventures and meeting new friends along the way, taking the children from reality into a world of fantasy, stimulating their imaginations and creating new long-term friendships.

I have written a series of 16 books so far and have currently published the first two, Tango’s First Day at School and Robbie The Space Robot and fully intend to publish the rest over the next few years. I hope children have fun reading the books and create their own adventures to go on too, and learn all about vegetables from the books.

Future Goals

Potential for the creation of a television programme to lead to the opportunity of merchandising with toys, gardening tools, vegetable seeds in branded packaging, LEGO, Christmas cards and much more!
To have a Vegetable Village Adventure Themed Fun Park for children to be able to spend the day there, playing on rides, etc., being based on the story themes.
Books to be bought online from Amazon, Goggle Books, and also in-store for book shops. Ebook versions and apps available to be downloaded.
To look at the books being used for education in schools, and also have the books used by health professionals to encourage children to want to learn about vegetables in a fun way.
The series will continue, I have many more books to write adding to the children’s adventures.
Development in the overseas market.
